About the Trip

Tell Us Some of Your Favorite Activities and Experiences.

GritBox!! – We did a private boxing class on Saturday late morning and it was one of our favorite parts of the trip! Perfect for our athletic bride and high-energy group. Such a challenge but it felt like you were in a club with all the lights and music. Got in a great workout to start off our day and they even had mimosas for us after.

Charleston Yacht Charters – we went on a 2-hour late afternoon booze cruise on their Kismet boat. Another one of our highlights of the trip. Listened to music and danced, and then got to stop and float/jump in the water/tan.

Would highly recommend getting a house that you can walk everywhere. It made it so fun to walk to our boxing class and then explore King St. on the way back during the day. And then of course walk and experience King St. at night!

Decorating the house and having little fun things that the Bride would think is special. For example, I got our group matching spray painted hats with all of our names on them for our boat ride. Also set up “margarita bar & mason jars” (her fiancé’s name is Mason). We also had Mason face tattoos & a giant mason head cut out.

What Were Some of Your Favorite Bars/Restaurants That You Visited?

The Cocktail Club – such a fun live band. Our favorite spot of the night.

Henry’s – another fun live band and saxophone player

(Same two businesses as listed earlier)

If You Were to Return to Charleston, Is There Somewhere You Might Like to Visit That You Didn't Get a Chance to During This Trip?

Would’ve loved to check out a few more restaurants and drink spots. Such as the Dewberry Hotel rooftop bar – Citrus Club, Darling Oyster Bar, and 5church (we were supposed to go here for brunch but ended up walking to get coffee at Clerk’s coffee.)

Any Additional Details That We Should Know?

Friday night we stayed in the house we rented which was incredible. It slept 8 people comfortably and was one block from King street. We literally walked everywhere! We cooked dinner in and did a lingerie shower for the bride and played some games.

Saturday was our big day where we did the boxing class, boat ride, dinner at The Watch Rooftop and then went out! Such a fun trip.
