The Ultimate Guide to a Bachelorette Weekend in Charleston, SC.

All the best activities to celebrate your bachelorette party in Charleston, South Carolina.

Charleston is one of the top destinations for brides to celebrate their final days of being single. Walk down King Street on a Friday or Saturday night, and you will witness a plethora of girl squads dressed in coordinating outfits and adorned with colorful sashes, sparkling tiaras, and flashing pins.

Charleston is the perfect place to celebrate your bachelorette weekend; with warm, sandy beaches, delectable cuisine, and a variety of gorgeous settings to take all those trendy bachelorette photos; you can’t go wrong choosing the Lowcountry for your Final Fling. Check out some of our favorite bachelorette activities in Charleston to help create the ideal itinerary for your celebratory weekend!

1.) Drinking Tour

If your crew loves to drink, we suggest checking out one of the many customizable tours offered by Crafted Travel. Ride around town in your very own party bus where you can sing, dance, and consume your favorite beverages in between stops at some of Charleston’s finest breweries and distilleries. Their popular “Sippin’ Tour” also includes a stop at the Angel Oak for the perfect photo-op and at Deepwater Vineyard, Charleston’s only domestic winery. Convenience is key when booking with Crafted Travel, as they can pick up and drop off at any location.

Not the boozy-type? Crafted Travel also offers informative history tours where you can visit world-renowned sites such as Middleton Place or Cypress Gardens. Learn more about their available History Tours.

2.) Shopping Tour

Shop ‘til you drop while sipping on wine and receiving specialty discounts in one of the top shopping districts in the USA. Who doesn’t love buying new clothes and jewelry while drinking wine with their best girlfriends? This 2-hour, guided walking tour with Sip ‘N Shop Tours takes you to some of the cutest boutiques located in the King Street Fashion District of downtown Charleston. Following the tour, you can keep the party going at one of the many bars located nearby, such as Proof, Little Palm Bar, Republic, Bin 152, or Elevé.

Interested in checking out some more places to shop while in Charleston? Here are just a few of our faves not included on the tour: The Shops at Belmond Place, The Tiny Tassel, House of Sage, and Gwynn’s of Mt. Pleasant.

3.) Arts + Crafts

For the artsy bachelorette, there are a number of creative activities available in and around Charleston. If you are looking to make a keepsake item to remember the trip by, we suggest booking an in-home Macrame Workshop with Rosie the Wanderer, or a Tie Dye Party with High Tyed Designs. Bachelorettes love to wear matching t-shirts + dresses, so why not make your own custom garments for your crew to flaunt throughout the weekend?

You can also book an at-home Painting Party with Abstract Art Events or one of our other preferred painting vendors. Another great way to bond with your friends over a glass of wine in the comforts of your home or vacation rental.

Another fun, in-home option is a flower crown party with Rose Bay Floral Co, or another one of our favorite, local florists. Setup a fun bachelorette shower with champagne, cupcakes, and other light bites to enjoy while your bride tribe creates beautiful floral arrangements or flower crowns to wear out the next day.

If your crew wants to do something outside of their hotel or Airbnb, we suggest booking a Candle-Making Workshop with Candlefish or a Jewelry Making Party at Kendra Scott in downtown Charleston. We especially love these options during the warm summer months, when it’s too hot + humid to hang out outside, and there’s no need to worry about those pesky pop-up rain showers ruining your time.

4.) Boat Charter

If you are traveling to Charleston in the warmer months, we highly recommend that you get out on the water. Even if your crew isn’t interested in swimming, we suggest doing a 2-hour booze cruise on one of our favorite vessels to see the area from a different perspective. Some of our favorite boat charters offer more informative tours that talk about the local marine life and historical landmarks, like Tideline Tours or Flipper Finders located on Folly Beach.

Other boats are built for partying, like the Charleston Party Cat that has a built-in beer pong table, or the Kismet that has the perfect sound system to blast your favorite tunes. Both of these options also include a bathroom on-board. If you are looking for a quick party cruise out on the water with music + drinks, we also love Saltwater Cycle – a 90-minute pedal boat tour that can hold up to 16 people.

Looking to experience more time out on the water with more space to get some sun, float, and dance? We love Huckfin Charters (located on Folly Beach) and Tiki Tours of Charleston (located Downtown), both who offer “private islands” for larger groups to party on throughout the day.

If you are celebrating your “Last Sail Before the Veil” in Mt. Pleasant, Sullivan’s Island, or Isle of Palms, we suggest booking a catamaran with OM Sailing Charters (out of Mt. Pleasant), or a full-day boat charter with food included through Barrier Island Eco Tours (out of Isle of Palms.)

All boat charters mentioned are BYOB, so don’t forget to pack up your favorite beverages, along with your matching bathing suits, koozies, + sunglasses!

5.) Mixology Class

Another fun and interactive option for the Bach & Boozy Crew, the mixology class offered by our friends over at Pop the Bubbly Events is an at-home experience you and your friends will never forget! Expect to get your hands dirty, as you and each of your guests will have their very own bar set up with all the tools necessary to craft 3 different cocktails. A professional mixologist will guide you through how to make each drink and discuss the ingredients for each concoction in detail. This is the perfect pre-gaming activity prior to your big night out on the town or before an in-home chef dinner.

Looking for something a little more hands-off? Book a 90-minute cocktail class with Megan Deschaine, one of our favorite local bartenders who will produce three different drinks for your entire bachelorette party to sip on, while describing the history behind each one. Learn more about the Mixology Class Package.

Does your crew prefer wine over cocktails? Try out an in-home wine tasting with one of our favorite, local sommeliers.

6.) Hire Someone to Decorate your Airbnb

Get the party started as soon as you step foot through the door of your vacation rental, and surprise the bride-to-be with a fully decked-out Airbnb complete with balloons, welcome bags, custom banners, and more! Our friends over at Pop the Bubbly Events have been decorating for bachelorettes in Charleston since 2014 and know how to “wow” their clients. They can also drop off local goods such as flower arrangements, cheeseboards, and personalized sweet treats.

If you love specialty balloon garlands, we suggest booking Holy City Party to add a pop of color to your vacation rental! Check out more of our favorite options for decoration services.

Prefer to decorate the Airbnb yourself but don’t have a car or the time to make a stop at the grocery store to stock up the kitchen for the weekend? Schedule a delivery from Instacart or our local favorite: Groceries Ahead.

Speaking of not having a vehicle… are you arriving early into Charleston but can’t check in to your hotel or Airbnb until later in the day? Book luggage storage with Charleston Bag Valet, so you can explore the Lowcountry luggage-free!

Plan on spending your first night in the Lowcountry celebrating the bride-to-be with wine, games, and gifts at your Airbnb? We suggest hiring a Butler in the Buff to bring the fun and lighten the mood — the perfect ice breaker to start your Charleston bachelorette weekend off right!

7.) Workout + Brunch

When the bride is “Shredding For the Wedding,” we recommend adding a morning workout combined with a boozy brunch to your bach weekend itinerary. Bachelorettes who are into HIIT workouts love to stay fit with Rhapsody Fitness. Book a private session at their facility located in downtown Charleston, OR have one of their trainers come to you with all the necessary equipment in tow.

If you are looking for something a little less intense, you can’t go wrong with a relaxing yoga sesh to start the day off right. Book a private class on the beach with our friends over at Serenity Tree Yoga, followed by a morning picnic setup by Picnic Charleston or one of our other favorite picnic vendors in Charleston. Not staying near the beach? Contact Veda Soul Yoga or Vacation Yoga to have a professional instructor come to you with yoga mats for each of your guests.

For the adventurous crew, we suggest trying out an Aerial Fitness class with Uptown Aerial Arts in downtown Charleston. Regardless of your strength level, this unique and entertaining class is perfect for groups of all kinds.

Following your workout, throw a Mimosa Brunch at your Airbnb with one of our preferred private chefs. Customize the perfect menu for your party with Spiced Culinary Creations or Simple Provisions. If a private chef isn’t in the budget, you can also have prepared breakfast food delivered at a lesser cost through Caviar + Bananas or Callie’s Hot Little Biscuit.

8.) Do Something Uniquely Charleston!

Whether this is your first time in Charleston or your hundredth, why not experience something unique to the area?
One of our favorite Charleston activities is Casual Crabbing with Tia, where you can master the art of crabbing and learn all about the waterways of the Lowcountry. Tia and her crew are a delight to spend the day with and will take all the pics of you and your friends casting nets and catching fish.

If you are looking to learn more about the history of downtown, we suggest booking a walking tour with Tyler at Walk + Talk CHS. Hear all the gossip about past and present inhabitants during this two-hour tour through the heavenly streets of the South of Broad area.

If your bachelorette party loves food, then you won’t want to miss out on a culinary tour with Charleston Culinary Tours based in downtown. Customize your tour to a specific area, or choose to focus on the local bar scene and experience some of Charleston’s favorite brews.

9.) Spa Day

For the Blissful Bride-to-Be, book a day to relax and restore at one of South Carolina’s premiere spas during your bachelorette weekend in Charleston. Choose the bachelorette spa package at The Salt Spa on upper King Street, which includes a private room, mimosas, and a 60-minute massage OR a 60-minute facial for each of your friends. You can also have Caviar + Bananas or Callie’s Hot Little Biscuit deliver some light bites for your party to nibble on before or after their treatments.

If you are staying in Mt. Pleasant, Isle of Palms, or Sullivan’s Island, we suggest booking the VIP room at Woodhouse Day Spa located in Mt. Pleasant (a second location is also available downtown!) Don’t forget to order a bottle of champagne and a cheese plate to enjoy in between treatments. Our favorite services at Woodhouse include the Illuminating Facial and Deep Tissue Massage.

Too tired to leave the house? Call up iLiv Massage and have the professionals come to you. Book a therapeutic full-body massage or a detoxifying body wrap to wind down after a debaucherous night out.

Speaking of debauchery… too hungover to even think about a full body rub down? We suggest booking a Hangover IV for your entire crew, so you can enjoy the rest of the weekend without the nausea and the headaches. Schedule an IV treatment on King Street over at Renew IV Spa, or have the treatment come to you and book in-home services with Thrive Total Wellness. You can also experience a full day of revitalization at Restore Wellness in West Ashley with hydration treatments, cryotherapy, oxygen therapy, and more!

10.) Hire a Bachelorette Photographer

Did the bachelorette even happen if you didn’t post an Instagram-worthy photo on social media with your entire squad? Consider booking a professional photographer to capture all the memorable moments of your trip. Really pamper the bride with a hair and makeup session prior to the photoshoot at Blo Blowdry Bar in Mt. Pleasant, or have the stylists come to you with Silhouette On Site.

Our favorite photogs make the whole experience enjoyable and have the best ideas for locations to shoot around town. Book a photographer to join you on a boat charter or a drinking tour to immortalize all the unforgettable activities. Some of our favorites in Charleston include Valerie + Ed, Brie Sciales, and Charleston Bride Tribe.
