A Deeper Dive

Why Did You Choose to Open in Charleston?

I’ve called Charleston home for 11 years now and I couldn’t think of a better place to share my creativity and designs than with this amazing community.

Who is Your Typical Client?

For our design services, our typical clients are small businesses and entrepreneurs looking to simplify and up-level their brand.

As for our lifestyle products, we’re geared towards those that love charleston and love supporting small, locally-owned businesses.

Does Your Business Offer Services in Other Locations Besides Charleston?

All of our products are available on our website, so we can ship anywhere in the US and Canada.

As for our design services, we do love to work with local businesses, but we also have clients all over the US so there’s really no limit when it comes to location!

Tell Us Anything Else About Your Business That Our Visitors Might Like to Know.

Our signature CHS logos are handwritten and designed by me. I love bringing a unique aspect to all of our pieces, and what’s more unique than my handwriting!?

Just for Fun!

Tell Us Your Favorite Thing(s) to Do in Charleston.

My husband and I love brewery hopping. We’re suckers for delicious beer and cool spots to hang, and love meeting new people and supporting other local businesses.

Where is Your Favorite Place to Eat/Drink in Charleston?

OOOH, this is tough. I have to say Tideland Brewing is one of our new faves. Delicious beer and the food is incredible.

Otherwise, we definitely stalk the Foxes Fried food truck around town. We save the fancy sit-down meals for special occasions (like Wild Olive, Royal Tern, and Halls Chophouse) so our typical spots for meals and drinks are usually breweries with food trucks (can you spot a trend here?)

What’s the Craziest Experience You’ve Had with a Client?

Oof, good or bad? There has been an abundance of great experiences with clients, but one bad one that sticks out is I spent weeks and countless hours on brand development and branding for this client (at a lower rate than normal… bad move on my part) only to eventually terminate the contract because of fundamental differences between us. I’m a very flexible person when it comes to business and design but I wholeheartedly agree that you’re not for everyone so if it’s not the right fit just walk away. This was a huge lesson for me both personally and professionally, but I can take what I learned through this experience and grow from it.

Where’s Your Favorite Place to Travel Outside of Charleston?

Anywhere tropical! We love Key West and for a while (pre-pandemic) we were making yearly trips down with a group of friends. But my husband and I are fortunate enough to travel pretty often, so we like to visit and experience as many places as we can!
