Why Did You Choose to Open in Charleston?
Jon and I own and operate Palmetto Ceramic Coatings, the authorized dealer of Rhino Shield in South Carolina (@rhinoshieldsc). We were given the opportunity through a friend to purchase East Bay Wine and Spirits, and thought it would be fun and exciting to do something a little different than the coatings business. We also thought it would be fun to own a store downtown and a little piece of history. East Bay Wine and Spirits has been in business since 1952!

We LOVE our customers and want them to feel like family! We offer a membership rewards program as a thank you for shopping with us. We can also custom order anything you need, whether it's a weekly staple or something for a party or wedding, and we LOVE Bachelor/Bachelorette parties! We are conveniently located across the street from Harris Teeter Grocery, so when you get into town, grab your groceries and just walk across the street to see us! We'll make sure to have everything you need for a fun time in Charleston.

Tell Us Your Favorite Thing(s) to Do in Charleston.
We have 2 boys, ages 16 and 11 so we are pretty busy with sports these days! We love to visit the Charleston market, the Charleston farmers market, walk the battery, and of course visit the beach. We also love going out on the boat with Jon’s parents to fish and take in the beauty of the Lowcountry.
Where is Your Favorite Place to Eat/Drink in Charleston?
Wow, this one is tough because there are SO many! Jon and I love The Rarebit, Leon’s, Melfi’s, O-ku, Halls, The Grocery, Rodney Scott’s BBQ, Variety Store, and Xiao Bao Biscuit. You can find us having a drink (and always a good time) at The Commodore, Republic, Cocktail Club, Bourbon & Bubbles, 1st Place Pub, and Prohibition.
What’s the Craziest Experience You’ve Had with a Client?
We’re a liquor store so you can only imagine:)
Where’s Your Favorite Place to Travel Outside of Charleston?
Charleston is pretty much paradise, so it’s hard to top! When we do getaway, we love going to Jamaica and Mexico.
