A Deeper Dive
Why Did You Choose to Open in Charleston?
I have recently moved back to Charleston after being gone for 35 years! I was living in the Seattle area and working as a personal trainer, teaching custom group fitness classes and running an aerial studio for over 20 years. I noticed that Charleston did not offer any aerial classes on the peninsula and knew it needed to have one. Plus, it's who I am and what I do. Had to give this gift to the community
Who is Your Typical Client?
My average age client is 25-40 and my typical client can be anyone. They all have different goals. Some want a serious aerial practice while others want to get fit while having fun.
Tell Us Anything Else About Your Business That Our Visitors Might Like to Know.
It's important to know that this is a community of encouraging, accepting, and hard-working students. While we work hard we also laugh a lot, cheer each other on and teach one another as we learn. It's just a safe good place to experience the beauty of aerial arts.
Just for Fun!
Tell Us Your Favorite Thing(s) to Do in Charleston.
Oh, go out on my boat! To see Charleston from the water is a magical experience. There is so much to see. The waterfowl, the marsh, the mud and oysters, the dolphins! I can’t get enough. To answer this question would need more space on the paper. Charleston is a golden treasure.
Where is Your Favorite Place to Eat/Drink in Charleston?
WE love Chubby Fish! Small plates and a fun atmosphere. The food is always amazing. We also adore Xiao Bao Biscuit. Such a great neighborhood place to go for Negronis. We also spend a lot of time on Sullivan’s Island (don’t call it Sully’s!) at the Home Team after the beach. One Game Changer will put a serious smile on your face.
What’s the Craziest Experience You’ve Had with a Client?
Well, I really don’t recall a “ crazy” experience but I do have a totally blind student. She is incredible and inspires me every day.
Where’s Your Favorite Place to Travel Outside of Charleston?
My daughter lives in Bangkok and we love going to visit her and taking side trips to Vietnam. My son is in Dakar Senegal and we plan to go see him soon!
